In 2002, David co-founded Emmi Solutions to find a creative answer to issues of miscommunication in healthcare. Dr. Sobel is a urological surgeon who completed his training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. Prior to his medical career, David spent several years as a corporate attorney at the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. He earned a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and a BGS from the University of Michigan.

As the senior vice president for products, Mark ensures that Emmi Solutions delivers on our commitments. He oversees our product development process and the infrastructure needed to support product delivery. Mark also runs our analytics efforts, quantifying the impact of Emmi programs for our clients. Further, Mark works closely with our partners to translate business relationships into execution. Passionate about organization, process and efficiency, he is constantly examining our operations to make sure we can provide the best services and products to our customers.

Prior to working at Emmi Solutions, Mark managed teams and process improvement in startup, early stage and corporate environments such as Channel Velocity, Inc., The Premisys Corporation, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and Skidmore, Owings & Merill.

As vice president and general counsel, Carrie is responsible for weighing legal concerns with the immediate and long term needs of our growing company. At Emmi Solutions, she handles all legal issues including contracts, HIPAA obligations, corporate matters and more. Prior to joining Emmi Solutions, Carrie was an associate at Latham & Watkins, LLP, a large, international law firm, where her focus covered complex mergers and acquisitions, technology transactions and licensing agreements. 

As Chief Financial Officer, John is responsible for ensuring the profitable and sustainable growth of Emmi Solutions, working to further our mission and extend our reach through a focus on management of resources, thoughtful pricing and strategic partnerships. John takes a collaborative approach to finance, gathering input and alignment to make sure our policies, proposals and contracts support our business goals. John brings over 20 years of diverse experience in all facets of financial management with companies ranging from large publicly traded enterprises, to smaller private equity investments. Prior to Emmi Solutions, John held a variety of senior financial positions at Orius Corp., AT&T and Deloitte.

Sharon brings a business focus to human resources, creating policies and processes to ensure our employees are invested in the bottom line. At Emmi Solutions, she is responsible for everything that affects HR from compensation and payroll to culture, employee development, coaching and counseling. Prior to joining Emmi Solutions, Sharon worked for Kraft Foods as a human resources generalist for sales and customer service, research development and quality, and the global finance division.

For over a decade, Bob has helped payers, providers, and other healthcare organizations develop and execute web-based patient engagement strategies. His hands on experience makes him uniquely suited to guide Emmi’s Care Management strategy during a period of increased collaboration between payers and providers through models such as the Patient Centered Medical Home. Bob’s primary responsibility is to develop and manage channel partners who integrate Emmi products into their population health, care coordination, and care management solutions. Prior to Emmi Solutions, Bob was the Vice President of eBusiness Development for Uniprise and was the Director of Payer Solutions for HealthShare Technology (now WebMD Quality Services).
